Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters to us. Here is how we handle your information.

Summary
You do not need an account to use Pinvdl.com and we do not ask you for personal details. We are not, however, a zero-data service: the pin links you submit pass through our own server, and the site uses Google Analytics and Google AdSense, which set cookies and process data under their own policies. This page describes that honestly so you can decide whether to use the tool.
Information you give us
The only information you actively submit is the Pinterest link you paste into the tool, plus anything you choose to write to us by email. If you use the contact form, it opens your own email application — the message is sent from your mail provider to [email protected], not stored in a database on this site.
How a download is processed
When you submit a link, your browser sends it to a script on our own server. That server requests the pin from Pinterest and, when you choose a quality, streams the media file back through our server to your browser. This means the link you submit, and the file you download, do pass through our infrastructure — they do not travel directly from Pinterest to your device. Like virtually all web servers, ours may record standard request information such as your IP address, the time of the request, the user agent and the requested URL in its logs for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting. We do not build user profiles from these logs and we do not sell them.
Cookies, local storage and analytics
We store two small values in your browser's local storage: your chosen interface language and your light or dark theme preference. These stay on your device and are not sent to us.
We use Google Analytics (measurement ID G-DJSQ8L69RV) to see aggregate figures such as how many people visit which pages. Google Analytics sets its own cookies and identifiers and processes data on Google's infrastructure. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Advertising
Pinvdl.com displays ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including personalised ads where permitted. You can review and adjust this at Google Ads Settings, and read how Google uses advertising data at this page. We do not control what these partners collect.
Third parties we load
To display the site we load resources from Google (analytics and ads) and flag images from flagcdn.com. These providers receive your IP address as a normal part of serving those requests.
Legal bases and your rights
If you are in the EEA or UK, our legal basis for server logs is our legitimate interest in operating and protecting the service; for analytics and advertising cookies it is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through your browser or cookie controls. You can ask us what we hold about you, or ask for deletion, by emailing [email protected]. Because we hold so little, a request may simply confirm that we have nothing tied to your identity beyond time-limited server logs.
Data retention
Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and diagnostics and are then rotated out. We do not keep copies of the media you download.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Security
All traffic to the site is encrypted with HTTPS. No online service can promise perfect security, so we describe what we do rather than guarantee an outcome.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new revision date.
