Who we are

Pinvdl.com is a free, browser-based tool for downloading public Pinterest media — videos, images, animated GIFs and Idea Pins. It is run by a small independent team of developers and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Pinterest, Inc. in any way.

What the tool does

You paste the link to a public pin. Our server requests that pin from Pinterest, reads the media URLs it exposes, and sends them back to your browser as download options. When you pick one, the file is streamed through our server to your device so that your browser saves it instead of simply playing it. We do not modify the file, add watermarks or re-encode it, so the quality you receive is whatever the original pin offers — that may be SD, 720p, 1080p, 2K or 4K depending on the upload.

What it does not do

The tool cannot access private boards, secret boards or content from accounts you are not signed in to, and it cannot recover pins the original author has deleted. Audio-only (MP3) output is only possible when an audio stream is available for that pin.

How the site is funded

Pinvdl.com is free to use and is funded by advertising. We also use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic. Both are described in our Privacy Policy.

Using downloads responsibly

Pinterest content usually belongs to the person who created or uploaded it. You are responsible for making sure your downloads comply with applicable copyright law, Pinterest's terms and any other rules that apply to you. Our Disclaimer covers this in more detail.
